oh man, it's one of the best movies ever. i SO wish i could have seen it in theatres. that would be awesome. i'm sorry you were with a girl from hell, that really sucks.

Well, I've been with a few girls from Hell. But that one kind of made me lose my faith in humanity. I got over it...about 8 years later. Oh well, without her I might not be the wonderfully cynical person I am today.

ah yes. that does tend to happen. i too became far more cynical when i broke with my last bf. we dated for ten months, but it had an impact on me. and he was not the best guy for me, either. of course, i only really came to grips with that after i could have prevented as much hurt as was caused. *sigh* ah well. as long as we're still alive, right? and nothing's wrong with a little cynicism!

I think love, or destroyed love- probably has one of he biggest impacts on a person's cynicism level. I just don't get those people who are continually put down, dumped, whatnot, and remain upbeat and cheerful... it's not natural I tell you.

I think I was only with that girl for a few months, but it was so intense at the time. However, it was so passionate and out of control that there was no way it could sustain itself. Just a flash in the pan I guess, but I'd still say it was worth it.

You're right, Hansy, happy people suck. I think that if people go through stuff like that and they don't become a little cynical, then they're just shallow people who didn't deserve to fall in love in the first place. As I've said before, cynicism is a sign of brilliance...
